Harrisburg Christian School and West Shore Christian Academy united into a single Christian school district under the leadership of the Christian School Association of Greater Harrisburg (CSAGH) on January 1, 2017. Harrisburg Christian School existed on the East Shore of the Susquehanna River since 1955. West Shore Christian Academy—once called Bible Baptist School—was a ministry of Bible Baptist Church on the West Shore since 1973.
Uniting the schools brought together more than 600 students and 100+ faculty members, representing seven central Pennsylvania counties and more than 150 churches.
Our journey from individually owned and operated schools on opposite sides of the Susquehanna River to two schools under the same CSAGH system umbrella is a testament of the hard work of our dedicated faculty and employees, our committed parents, our generous donors, and God’s faithfulness. We, like Joshua, can collectively attest that “not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave [us] has failed” (Joshua 23:14).
The numbers can tell a story but so can our parents!
It was a desire of our family to educate our kids with a Christian worldview since we believe everything points back to God.WSCA Parent
After researching and visiting other Christian schools in the area, WSCA impressed us as the best option of all those we considered.WSCA Parent
We chose and continue to choose HCS because of the fantastic education and the family feel of this community.
It has a great reputation in the area and after visiting, we liked the small school atmosphere and the close-knit nature of the school.
